Environment: Himalayas, Water And Many Other Things

About Me

Over two decades of exposure to social issues as a journalist, as a writer, a researcher, and as a socially sensitized traveler. Currently working as an independent journalist, I write on environmental, developmental and climate change related issues. Himalayas, water, rivers and the interests of India’s tribal population are some of my focus areas.

Camera is my constant companion on all trips.

I live in Delhi but travel across India, the mighty Himalayas being my favourite destination. Have earlier worked at the Press Trust of India at Delhi and Mumbai and the Hindustan Times at Indore and Delhi.

Now, as an independent journalist, my works appear in London’s Climate News Network, The Guardian, Third Pole.net, The Wire, IndiaSpend.com, Mongabay-India, Vice Media, Urban Affairs, India Climate Dialogue.net, Daily O, Newsroom24X7.com, Hindustan Times, The Statesman, The Pioneer, The Tribune, Arunachal Times, Deccan Chronicle, Free Press Journal, Scroll.in, India Water Portal, Network18.com, Wion News, etc.

My journalistic achievements include several national, international reporting fellowships apart from awards for reporting on environment and health.
